So sorry if we can't celebrate on the week of your big day due to conflicting schedules, but...

I'm sure you guys have already received news about a birthday picnic on Sunday at Sentosa. All cell members are welcome. Join us and celebrate the momentous occasion. But bring some drinks and tidbits there; all of us will join in the potluck. Also bring an extra set of clothes 'cause we're gonna have fun there.

I would like to inform all of you that Ang Shen will not be attending Sunday's Church in the morning till September due to his training for a Marathon he would be participating.

As it's a long period!........SO ... Let's keep him in prayer . May he experience God in His TIME!

To Ang Shen: Knowing God it's a life long journey, there's no fear in it.. Don't give up. HE HAD NVR GAVE UP AT ALL=)

HI Jia Yi,

Thank you for your honest feelings and sharing with me and the cell. It's tough as you explained your difficulties in army. Especially ridiculous happenings btw men and all the nonsense arrangements.

Here's a verse for you as an encouragement.

James 1: 3-5

Let it be all joy to you, my brothers, when you undergo tests of every sort;

Because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope;

But let this power have its full effect, so that you may be made complete, needing nothing.

I believe God is moulding and shaping you!

He may want you to make a difference in others life. It may not be now! But for the other army boys or younger generations who are gonna faced the same thing. You can help them. =)

Be it physical , mental ,finance or spiritual struggles we faced, we are always taught/ reminded to fix our eyes on Jesus and know he went through it all.

HAVE FAITH AND GOD BLESS YOUR TRIP! Will ask the cell to pray for you earnestly. Probably we can have a prayer chain during your trip. Can arrange one=) Pls inform prayer group IC too!

Taiwan

It's confirmed. I'll be going Taiwan for training from 5 May to 30 May. So I'll not be here for a month. Coupled with all the preparation for army evaluation, I'm gonna be a busy man this month.

In view of my upcoming trip, I hope you guys can pray for me in the following:

1. For a safe and enjoyable journey. Taiwan training is reputed to be tougher than it seems.
2. For my wrecked relationships between colleagues to be better, 'cause as I see it, the politics will likely to change for the worse, not better, during my trip.
3. For any temptations there. I heard R&R there is quite complicated and you're allowed into the nightlife there. (But I doubt I'll go there anyway 'cause my good friends in camp are a clean bunch!)
4. For me to maintain a close relationship with God even when I'm overseas. I'll be bringing my Bible and Experiencing God there so pray that I'll still have time to read His Word.

I know it's a bit early to post this but I guess I'll forget when it gets nearer. And there's so many things happening in army right now that I guess if I don't post this now - when I'm most emotionally stable - I'll never be able to think properly the next time. You guys can ask Joan what's happening to me so just pray for me. Before I end, God bless and have a good week ahead!

Now click on "New Post" (boxed in red) on the blog which says together-ness, and it gets you here:

The green box is for you to write whatever you want to, and you can make full use of the tools given to you on the top of this window, which include bolding and italizing your words, add links and images, and more. Updates from me

Firstly, I wanna thank everyone who's prayed for me last week, fearing the worst that I can't book out. In the end, not only could I book out last weekend, I enjoyed every minute of it with you guys, so thank you so much. Not forgetting to thank God too. :)

Just got back from outfield today, so this week's pretty much tough for me. Thank God that the pace for the rest of the week will be taken off the pedal a little so I look forward to some rest. In case you guys haven't know, it's now CONFIRMED that I won't be booking out on Friday as usual. I'm looking at a late Saturday book out, which effectively rules me out of sending Timothy off to camp, and probably going BodyWorlds too. :(

Speaking of which, I hope you guys would really pray for Timothy's enlistment. Having experienced it, I must say it's not easy but I believe he can do a good job out of it. Even though I'm not there with him in person, I'll support him and keep him in prayer. In fact, I've already planned something for him. Maybe you guys will know it on Saturday.

Continue to read the Bible and the devotional, and trust in Him to do wonders to your life everyday, just like He did for me this week. And till we meet again during the weekend, God bless.

Hi Cell Members,

Just a gentle reminder that this coming Sunday 7 Feb 2010 will be the 1st Sunday of the month. We will be having combine service. Also after the combine service instead of having outing, we have switch the outing to another date. So this coming sunday we will be having the devotional book. Please take note.
Don't forget to continue to read the Devotional Book daily, and write down your reflections.

We will be sending Guo Bin off to army this coming Saturday 6 Feb 2010. We will be meeting at Pasir Ris MRT Control Station. Time: 7.45am Let me know if you are joining us.

Another New Morning

Good Morning Cell,

I am like talking to the wall if you all don't have time to view this blog.
If you did, PRIASE GOD.

Ok, here I am going to share on this week's devotion.

On 25/ 1/ 2010 , title: THE FATHER DRAWS YOU.

John 6: 65 And he said, " Therefore, I have said to you that on one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by MY FATHER."

My Reflection: I realise how importance and genuine I am in God's eyes. I am Honoured! as I am the CHOSEN one by God.

When Jesus entered Jericho, he actually stopped everything among the crowd and went to find Zacchaeus ( the tax collector) to spent time with him. ( whom we knows it's GOd who was obviously working)

Luke 19 : 1-10
The people were muttering , saying : " He has gone to be the guest of a 'sinner.'

Luke 19 verse 8
What was amazing was Zacchaeus repented and even said : " now I give half of my processions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times..."

Here, it touches me.Jesus actually humbled himself to be just like a friend to stay with Zacchaeus. he did not judge him as " sinners" , yet he forgives. This is when Zachh repent and recieved SALVATION! Amen.

So! Do know that JESUS invested time for you and recognise that it's the FATHER drawing near to you. Sensed his work today and trust that he will honour yr response. He will reveal Himself to you now.

Questions to ponder:

1) Do you think we should acknowledge and response to God since He draws us to HIM? He took the first step to, how abt you?
2) What will you do in response for Him?
3) Do you have any struggles in responding to Him? What are they? Can we help you?

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear All,

Pls pray for our people !

1) Pls pray for Ang Shen and Jia yi- both will be out field this week! pray for good weather and their health despite the nightless sleep! May they grow with perserverance! Come back in one PIECE!!! lolx.

2) Pls pray for Sze En. She had been busy for a month with the Sunday School training and taking care of the KIDS.

a) Firstly, let;'s thank and praise God for another wonderful and loving teacher like her who is willing to serve the Children Ministry.

b) Secondly, let's pray for her to be firm and be able to handle the kids well... Not only that, let's pray that through this one month's M.I.A.. HA HA , she would still be able to receive God's Words and encounterment with GOD.

As she has to struggle btw study and church commitments ( Vocalist, sunday sch teacher, asst leader, prayer IC etc...) , I guess she needs lots and lots of prayer for wisdom and strength! Press on SZE EN!

3) Pls pray for the 'silence' we had during cell group discussion. Let's confess to God for not reading his word earnestly and we took them for granted. May we all pledge to read his Word and the Book so that we will be prepared for sharin on SUN. May we thank God for the notebook we had designed and bought so that we can start jotting down notes and treat it as our daily journal and reflection book.

Okay, the blog is officially up and running. Hope you guys like the template.

First things first, this blog is set up for our cell and I really hope you people can use this as an avenue for our fellowship. Any announcements of our cell will be posted here, so I hope you guys can visit this site as often as you do Facebook. Haha. Eventually, posting rights will be given to each member of the cell, so please pass to me your Google account, or create one if you don't already have it. As such, feel free to post here about your week, pictures of our outings, or even your prayer requests. Of course, basic rules apply when posting, so watch what you post!

In the course of the next few weeks, I hope to improve this blog by adding more substance. So I'll be looking into this area, and if you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact me. I hope this blog will feel at home to you when you visit, not an uncomfortable feeling which may prevent you from our fellowship.

Finally, this blog will not succeed in its goal if it's only a one-way communication. I encourage you guys to comment on each other's posts and even post your own.
